An Introduction
Week 1: Evercreech || Week 1: Barnes
The next family in the rotation is the Barnes family. Oh, Bonnie. Bonnie doesn't have it easy, even though she's quite nice. She dreams of becoming Captain Hero - the top of the law enforcement career. She has brave, doesn't really have a sense of humour, is actually a great kisser, has commitment issues and loves animals a lot. She has 5 neat points, 6 outgoing points, 3 for both active and playful and no less than 8 nice points. She's a cancer. She fancies blonde plantsims the most - even though those are rare - but they do need to watch their hygiene. Bonnie isn't fond of sims who smell bad. Her aspiration is Pleasure, with as secundary aspiration Family.
Harold had told them to plant the tomato seeds as soon as possible; Bonnie was all too eager to follow his advice. They settled when it was early spring, but it would be winter soon enough.

Even though she hadn't spotted any dogs or cats yet, there were beautiful butterflies.

She had never lived on her own before. Her dad had given her a crafting station, to keep herself occupied.
She still didn't like taking baths. She hated to see how she looked.
No one had stopped by and she desperatedly needed some social interaction. She bombarded the mail carrier with questions. At least this woman hadn't run away. Bonnie saw it as a good sign.

Running was necessary to keep her limbs intact, her father had told her. If she wouldn't exercise, she would get sick, much faster than any other sim. After all, her blood wasn't working as it was supposed to; neither were her organs.

Feliks Potts stopped by, and although for a split second she thought she was going to have a nice conversation, none of that turned out to be true. Apparently mister Potts was either scared or offended by ... sims as her. He continued to harrass her and insult her.

The following day, Feliks came back with the news there had been a burglary. There were possibly bandits involved and there had been a request for a few police officers to come to Violent Fields to investigate and keep it safe. Unfortunately the government saw no need to do this. The police would only cost money, and for what? The protection of eight sims? Although the government had assured them there was nothing to be scared for, it didn't leave Bonnie alone. What if they came back?

After talking to the founder about it, Bonnie Barnes applied for a job in law enforcement to keep their little town safe. She could start immediately.
Someone had to do it.

Not everyone had been happy with that decision.
She had never worked a day in her life - apart from the part time job when she was younger, which ended in an absolute disaster - and was nervous, yet excited. She had to go on patrouille; hoping they'd find the bandits. If there were any. Maybe the burglar had truly been a loner. However... she couldn't believe that. No one was insane enough to wander in the wasteland alone.
They hadn't found anything. She was exhausted the following day.
After promotion to cadet Bonnie found herself again staring in the mirror. Feliks Potts wasn't affraid to tell what he thought of her... and she suspected him being the kind of person who would scream and sit in a corner, if his house got visited by burglars and bandits. If he wasn't intimidated, how was she possibly going to intimidate the bandits? It was the hair, she decided. Her long, wavy soft locks belonged to someone else.
She shaved it, dyed and styled it. If she felt any regret about chopping her hair off, she didn't show it.

At least someone out there liked it. Although Bonnie had forgotten her name, she had been a nice person to chat with.
Maybe she could accept her fate after all.

Erin wasn't easy to convince, but once she had warmed up, she turned out to be quite friendly. She had told some stories about her brother and this friend of his; they were always chasing supernatural occurences when they were smaller. It wasn't the first time she'd seen a zombie. It was the first time she saw a zombie put their brains to good use. Bonnie took it as a compliment.

The jogging paid off. With a job like hers, it was necessary to be in good shape.

Her career was going great. Gardening turned out to be much more difficult than expected.
Despite the friendly people in the little town - in general - and her job, she still missed something. Something to care about. Or someone. Maybe Lady Fortuna was with her. Maybe she wasn't. She just hoped that her luck wouldn't turn against her. So far, spring hadn't been that much of a disappointment. On the contrary, even. Since her turning she had never experienced a pleasant week. Until now.
A new era in her life.
