In 1982, the inhabitants of Oak Valley were visited by people from outer space. Sadly enough they didn't recognise the aliens as friendly and attacked. The battle that followed left a wasteland; the survivors moved to other places, such as Riverview and Desiderata Valley nearby. The lush valley turned into a desert and with it's environmental change the name changed as well; it was now commonly known as the Violent Fields. In 1997, fifteen years later, an idea sprang to mind. Why not try again to turn the wasteland into a healthy and rich town? The government searched for volunteers and finally found eight willing adults in the prime of their life to leave their former life behind. Children or elders weren't allowed to apply, as the wasteland now contained a lot of wildlife, which could potentially be dangerous. We follow the lives of five families who went to the Violent Fields, with a tight budget and only a few personal belongings.

Sonny comes to say hi to his children. There are three blonde alien toddlers in town now, and he's the father of all three of them. :D

I always thought of Barry as a total sweetheart, but next time I play his household I have to check how many grouchy/nice points he has... he keeps stealing newspapers and kicking over thrashcans.

Eleanor is not ready to commit to one single sim yet. Jean tries to convince her otherwise, but to no avail.

They had a lot of crops and to help out the community - and theirselves - Nora starts a home business.

I swapped a default for the pants Eleanor was wearing and apparently its textures were bleeding onto the cardigan. I fixed it later.

Celebrating a successfull day of selling crops and random stuff they found in their garden.

Eleanor tries to chat with the postgirl, but the poor teen is clueless. All she knows is how to deliver the newspaper.

Ha. Hahaha. Which enthusiasm, game?

Their business was rank three for a minute, then dropped down to rank two again.

Toddlers may have been neglected for a little bit, but their customers gave them a lot of attention. Vindictus just pulls this look because no one seems to understand he's really, really sleepy.
